Yvonne E. Hammond passed away unexpectedly at home January 26th, 2022.

Yvonne was born June 17th, 1937 in Mineville, NY to Thomas and Loretta Simpson.

Yvonne lived most of her life in the Town of Moriah. She graduated from Mineville High School in 1955.

Yvonne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry Sr., her children, Sharon (Dana), Shelley (Randy), Larry Jr., Chilla (Neal) and Brad (Vanessa).

Yvonne was predeceased by her two sons, Barry and Eric.

Yvonne was a housewife and mother, foster mother, worked at BOCES in Mineville in the Special Ed. Dept. and Moriah Central School in the cafeteria.

Yvonne always enjoyed spending time with her children and many grandchildren of all ages stemming from one to forty four years old. Yvonne loved to feed and watch her birds. In later years she so enjoyed Facebook which gave her a “voice” and the ability to speak her mind! She loved “The SUPERBOWL”! and the forbidden (because I can) candy, for of course she was NOT diabetic!

At Yvonnes request there will be no services. A burial will be held in the Spring at the South Moriah Cemetery at a later determined date.
