William A. Mildon

BELLEAIR BEACH, FL – William A. (Billy) Mildon, 63, of Belleair Beach, FL, died Friday, September 2, 2022, after a valiant fight against cancer. He passed at his childhood home in Crown Point with his loving family by his side.

                He was born to Stella (Pliscofsky) and the late William E. Mildon, November 8, 1958, in Plattsburg, NY.

                Billy graduated from Crown Point Central High School in 1976 and was the first Eagle Scout in Crown Point. He went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1976-1985 as a Sonar and Diver Division LPO on the USS City of Corpus Christi. Following the Navy, Billy had over 30 years of working in undersea cables and connectors.

                Billy married the love of his life, Karen, and shared 31 adventurous years together. Billy had the largest heart and would lend a hand to anyone in need. He was the very best husband, father, brother, uncle, and son anyone could have ever asked for. He loved his family unconditionally and touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

                Billy is survived by his loving wife Karen and their two children: Josh Mildon, his wife Kate, and Hayleigh English, her husband Mike; and his devoted dog Gracie Lou and many loving grand-dogs; his loving mother, Stella Mildon; his siblings: Pam Norton (Rick), Steve Mildon (Judy), Bob Mildon (Val), Mike Mildon (Karen); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his father William E. Mildon and sister Valerie Mildon.

                Billy enjoyed everything outdoors, whether it was hunting, kayaking, cutting the grass or building a rock wall, he rarely ever sat down except to enjoy a cold beer. He also enjoyed traveling with his family and having new experiences.

                Calling hours will be at Harlands Funeral Home in Port Henry on Wednesday, September 7th, 5pm-7pm. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point at 11am, Thursday September 8th, burial will be at the Sacred Heart cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join the Celebration of Life at 258 Pearl St, Crown Point immediately after the services.
