Wendy J. Wojcik

The Lord called Wendy J. Wojcik home on Sunday, February 26,2023. Wendy was born on September 10, 1963, to Edward J. Wojcik Sr. and Anna L. (Thatcher) Mayville in Ticonderoga, NY.

Wendy was a happy fun person with a big heart, she would do all she could for you when she was able. Wendy loved music, most of the time you could hear her singing.  Wendy loved her family, especially her mom (her best friend). Wendy made friends wherever she went. For the last 4 1/2 years Wendy was a resident of the Essex Center.

Wendy graduated from Moriah Central School and was voted the Spirit of Junior Miss her senior year and went on to Ohio Diesel Tech in Cleveland, Ohio and became a Diesel Mechanic. She was 10th highest in her class out of 300 and the only girl . Wendy liked trucks and worked as a diesel mechanic before going on to other jobs in Vermont.

Wendy is predeceased by her father, Edward Wojcik Sr.,  her stepfather, Leonard Mayville Jr., and her brother, James Wojcik. She is also predeceased by her friend Donald Bruno.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Anna Mayville and Sonny Wallace of Ticonderoga, NY; her brothers: Edward J. Wojcik, Jr. of Witherbee, NY, Jeffrey Wojcik of Essex Juction, Vt. and Stephen Wojcik of Lebanon,IN. and her sister: Dianne Harvish of Moriah, NY. She is survived by her nieces and nephew: Amy Jo Wright, Melissa Joiner, Kimberly Harvish, Nicole Lemm, Tanya Muth, Carla Stogsdill and Robert Wojcik. Wendy also had 8 great- nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Wendy will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but we know she is in a better place where there is no more sadness, and she can sing and be happy until we are all together again.

A service will be held later in the spring.
