CROWN POINT- Valerie S. Mildon, 49, of Crown Point NY died Wednesday December 9th, 2020 at CVPH Plattsburgh NY with her loving family by her side.
She was born to Stella and the late William E. Mildon January 22nd, 1971 at Plattsburgh Hospital.
Valerie graduated from Crown Point Central School in June of 1989. Continuing her passion as a first responder on the way to an accident the vehicle hit black ice and Valerie ended up a paraplegic and wheelchair bound for the rest of her life. This did not stop Valerie of continuing with life’s challenges and curiosity of how to make the best of her restricted mobility. She married Todd Hunsdon and had a son Travis Hunsdon, who was the light of her life.
Valerie woke up with a smile every day and it was contagious to everyone she met throughout the day. She filled the room with sunshine and happily would cheer up all. Valerie and Travis would take hikes with their dog Sunshine, have races, and just get outside to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. She lived her days as if they were her last. It was quite a surprise when she let us all know she was going Skydiving and would send pictures later. Valerie lived and loved life every day encouraging others to do the same.
Valerie is survived by her loving son Travis Hunsdon, her Mother Stella Mildon, her four brothers and sister: William A (Little Billy) Mildon and his wife Karen, son Josh, daughter Hayleigh; Pam Norton her husband Rick, son Matthew child Felicity, daughter Christina, children Samantha, Allie, Julia, son Jimmy; Steven Mildon his wife Judy, sons Duke and Jake; Robert (Bob) Mildon and wife Val, daughters Brianna, Chelsea and Brooke; Michael (Mike) Mildon his wife Karen, sons Adam and Nick; Aunts, Uncles, many cousins and friends.
