Tyler Evan Snyder, age 33, passed away on July 6,2025 as a result of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. Tyler was born on December 23,1991 in Middlebury,Vt., the son of Allison Snyder and Herbert (Ronda) Snyder.
In addition to his parents Tyler is also survived by his girlfriend Geneva Scalzo, beloved dog Copper, siblings Ethan (Jodi) Snyder, Lourinda (Jürg) Zwahlen, and several nieces and nephews who he was super proud of and extremely close with. He was also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whom he was close with.
Tyler was pre deceased by his maternal grandparents Maude and Alex Savage, uncle Anthony Savage, cousins Michelle Dushane & Jeff Ross, uncle Charles Hayes and uncle Brian DuRoss.
Tyler enjoyed being around people and being in the outdoors. He was an arborist and ran his own tree business -Empire Tree Service. You could often find Tyler high up in a tree somewhere working where everyone else was too scared to go. Tyler always saw the good in anyone he met and was always willing to give his last dollar or cook a meal for whoever needed it .
Tyler worked hard, laughed big, and often had a great story to tell. He will be missed dearly by those who loved him and anyone who had the pleasure of ever having Tyler in their presence. He has touched many lives in his short time but his heart was huge and full of love .
Calling hours will be Sunday July 13th at 5:00pm-7:00pm at Harland's Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 14th at 11:00am at St. Patrick's Church in Port Henry. A Celebration of Life will follow the mass at The Old Miners Tavern in Moriah. All are welcome to join us and share a story or two of how Tyler has touched your life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northlands Job Corps Center in Vergennes, Vt. in Tyler's name.
