Truman “Hap” Barrows, 80, of Crown Point NY passed away on September 12th after a valiant battle with cancer.
Truman was born on April 11th, 1943, to the late Richard and Lillian Barrows in Plattsburgh NY.
Truman grew up in Essex County entering the Airforce from 1959-1963. In 1966 Truman married the love of his life Dianne (Provost) Barrows and they had two children Christina and Clinton. Truman was known by many in the Town of Crown Point and the surrounding areas as the owner of “Haps Country Market” for over 30 years and renowned for his gourmet meat selection. His hobby was old wooden boats, and he spent much time at the local marinas enjoying them.
Truman Barrows is survived by his daughter, Christina Barrows; son, Clinton Barrows; daughter-in-law Sherlene Barrows; grandchildren Brooke, Jared and C.J Feith; brother, Benjamin Barrows; sister, Constance Smith; nephews, Brian and the late Shane Smith; niece Leslie Smith; and sisters-in-law Pamela Lawler and Nancy Holbert.
As per Truman’s request, no funeral or memorial services will be held.
