Timothy C. (Sr.) McCaughin

Timothy C. McCaughin Sr. passed away at Elderwood of North Creek on April 22, 2025 with his loving wife Karen and partner in crime (Tara) by his side.

He was born in Ticonderoga on May 2, 1966, to Charles “Chuck” McCaughin and Patricia “Patsy” Carpenter McCaughin.

He graduated from Moriah Central School in 1985. He worked at Simonds Precision in Vergennes, Vt, the Village of Port Henry and the Ticonderoga Mill.

He was in the Port Henry Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his father Chuck and mother Patsy.

He is survived by his loving wife Karen, son Tim Jr. (TC), daughter Maranda (Mandy), stepsons Chase (Tara) and Josh Clarke, grandsons Kohlton and Kashton, step grandchildren Darin (Buddy), Breanna (Chickylips), Savannah J (Buttnuggett), his special aunt Diane (Willard) Baker, his Uncle Joe Pat Carpenter, many cousins and his best friend Phil Vargo.

We would like to thank the nurses and staff that took care of Tim in his final days. You all took very good care of him.

Per his request there will be no services. We will have “one kick ass party” (his words) to celebrate his life.
