Thomas Michael Donahue, known to his friends as Glutt, 60 of Jupiter, FL and Crown Point, NY passed away peacefully on January 22nd at Trustbridge Hospice in West Palm Beach, Fl. He was born on February 17, 1962 in Ticonderoga, NY, the son of the late John and Frances (Tromblee) Donahue.
Tom grew up in Port Henry, moved to Florida in the mid 90’s. He worked an assortment of jobs there, a groundskeeper, a painter, and he had his own tree trimming business. Tom also liked to salvage items to sell at local flea markets. His favorite place to hang out was Burt Reynolds Park on the intra coastal waterway in Jupiter, Fl. He was a fan of Burt Reynolds and often spoke of the time he ran into him at a gas station in Jupiter, FL. Tom liked animals, he always had a biscuit to hand out to his friends Ruppert and Angus.
He is survived by his children Michael Sherwin of Fayetteville, NC; John Savage (Katelynn) of Corinth, NY; Thomas Donahue of Warrensburg, NY and Courtney Donahue of Mineville, NY; his grandchildren; Tatum Donahue and Lincoln Savage; his brothers Edwin (Lynn) Donahue of Crown Point, NY; Brian (Linda) Donahue of Wheelersburg, OH; John (Jennifer) Donahue of Fort Pierce, FL; Arthur (Andrea) Donahue of Gloversville, NY; his aunt Esther (Eugene) Dupuis of Port Henry, NY; special friends Bruce and Robin Palmer of Jupiter, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service will be held at a later date in Florida.
