Thomas Beach Obituary

Thomas Allen Beach
May 10, 1958 - February 7, 2026

Thomas Beach lost his life at the University of Vermont Medical Center, in Burlington, Vermont on February 7th, 2026.

Born in Ticonderoga, New York, to Allen and Shirley Beach, Thomas (Tom) contributed to the health and safety of his community locally, and went on to touch many lives throughout Northeastern New York. He graduated from Crown Point Central School as Valedictorian in 1976. A year later, he met Penny, and they were married July 21st, 1979.

One of Tom’s primary drives was to work hard and provide for his family. He worked various jobs in construction, carpentry, and maintenance until he eventually came to International Paper (now, Sylvamo). There he would forge many relationships, make many friends, and eventually retire.

Though Tom was a provider, he was not content solely to care for those around him, and one of his strongest drives was to help others. As an EMT, he saved many lives, and this calling brought him to Ground Zero after September 11th, 2001. Tom then passed his skills and knowledge on to others, teaching emergency services courses throughout upstate New York and the capital region.

Tom’s deepest personal interest revolved around automobiles. At first, he was a dedicated Nascar fan. As he reached his later years, this was replaced by the restoration of classic vehicles and their associated car shows. Here, he made many more friends that, to him, became like family.

Tom was loved by many people across many backgrounds. He always remained a local man, but his vocations and interests made his influence stretch far. Throughout his life, he saved others, and forged many bonds, be it through work, emergency services, car shows, or cruises. Many of us will carry the best parts of him forward, as we continue with our own lives.

Tom leaves on this Earth, his wife Penny Beach, eldest son and his fiance, Michael Beach and Nicole Tesner; youngest son and his wife, Matthew and Ashleigh Beach; grandchildren Ethan, Brynn, and Emory Beach; and his sister Barbara Beach.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on his favorite day, Memorial Day, May 25, 2026 at his and Penny’s home, 2715 Main Street, Crown Point NY 12928.
