Susan B. (Hicks) Schaefer

Susan Beth (Hicks) Schaefer, 55, of Crown Point, NY, lost her battle with breast cancer on April 7, 2021. She was born in Albany, Georgia on December 17, 1965 to Ronald and Peggy Hicks. As a dependent of USAF parents, she had lived in Japan, England, and Italy twice and was a 1984 graduate of Brindisi American High School in Southern Italy. She spent most of her adult life in the Lake Placid, Ticonderoga, Crown Point areas working for numerous companies. She was a caring and artistic person who enjoyed being with her family and doing crafts.

She was predeceased by her father Ronald Hicks of Raymond, Ohio.

She is survived by her domestic partner Jim Beeman of Crown Point, NY, mother Peggy (Poling) Clarke and stepfather John Clarke of Horseshoe Bend, AR, brother Ronald “Keith” Hicks of Barhamsville, VA, sister Lisa Hicks of Lake Placid, NY, daughter Brenna (Schaefer) Provoncha of Ticonderoga, NY and son Benjamin Schaefer of Highland, AR.

The family will have a private memorial service at their convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in her name to the American Breast Cancer Society.
