With much sadness, Stanley S. Wojewodzic passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2024. Stanley was born on May 20, 1959 to Stanley and Lorraine Wojewodzic. Stanley was affectionately known to his friends and family as "Stan”, “Stosh” or “Smud”. Stan grew up in Port Henry, NY and graduated from Moriah Central School. He then went to work at International Paper where he dedicated forty-three years of his life.
He is well known for his generous spirit, meticulous nature, and legendary outbursts of singing which were often accompanied by dancing. Stan brought life and fun everywhere he went. He especially enjoyed all of the moments that he shared with the love of his life, Dawn Wojewodzic, who he married on June 6, 2015. Everyone knew when Dawn and Stan were in attendance, there would be much fun and laughter to follow.
Stan’s pride and joy were his children, which he loved with all of his heart; Andy, Lucas and Lizzy Wojewodzic, and his bonus son Tyler Belden (Hunter), he was so very excited to become a “Poppy” to Tyler and Hunter’s little baby girl in October.
Stan was predeceased by his father, Stanley Wojewodzic. He is survived by his wife and children, his mother Lorraine Wojewodzic and three sisters, Terry Ingleston (Eugene), Stacia Carpenter (Scott), and Laurie Fernandez (Timothy) and all of his extended family Alex Mars (Jonalee), Lisa Russo (Jeff) and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
There will be a funeral service to honor Stanley on Tuesday, August 20th at 11am at St. Patrick’s Church in Port Henry followed by a reception, hosted by Stanley’s family at the Knights of Columbus.
