Shirley L. (Wright) Allen

Shirley L Allen, 90, passed away December 22,2020, at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital, with her family by her side. Shirley was born on September 24, 1930. She worked for many years at the Horace Nye Nursing Home in Elizabethtown, NY. Shirley is predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth (Reed) Wright; her husband of 63 years, Frederick Allen; her son John Allen; one sister Jean (Chester) Podmore; six brothers,John (Betty) Wright; Ernest (Marjorie) Wright; Charles (Hilda) Wright; Vernon (Carol) Wright; Ralph (Mary) Wright; and Raymond Wright. Shirley is survived by her son William (Earlene) Allen of Mineville; a daughter-in-law Phyllis Allen of Mineville; her brothers, Norman Wright; James Wright; Robert (Debbie) Wright;Thomas Wright; and Roger Wright; five grandsons, John ( Shannon) Allen of Vergenns; Thomas ( Cassandra) Allen of Glens Falls; William Jr (Leanne) Allen of Mineville; Jason (Lisa) Allen of Pennsylvania; Tony Allen of Pennsylvania; one Granddaughter Kimberly (Arthur) Morgan of Mineville; eleven Great Grandchildren Brianna (Jesse) Sargent of Mineville; Nicholas (Chelsea) Allen of Ticonderoga, Casey (Juan) Allen of Mineville; Hailey Morgan of Mineville; Madison Morgan of Mineville; Aidan Allen of Pennsylvania; Ryan Allen of Pennsylvania; Lucas of Vergennes; Conner of Glens Falls; Rhiannon of Glens Falls; Rachel of Glens Falls; three Great Great Grandchildren, Jaxon Napper of Mineville; Charlie and Juan IV of Mineville; along with many nieces and nephews. Per Shirleys request there will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory can be made to the Town Of Moriah Ambulance Squad. The family would also like to express their sincerest gratitude to all of the very caring individuals at Elizabethtown Community Hospital who cared her.
