Sandra Kay (Allen) Nephew, 68, passed away at her home in Mineville, New York on Sunday May 3, 2020.  

Sandy was born in Crown Point NY on October 13, 1951, the daughter of Edgar and Dorothy (Miner) Allen. She grew up in Crown Point NY.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Joey Nephew, her 3 children Carrie (John) Reale of Ticonderoga, Brian (Shontel) Nephew of Connecticut, and Sara (Rich Bushey) of Schuyler Falls, and her 4 grandchildren whom she greatly adored Cassandra and Johnny Reale and Calista and Cameron Nephew as well as her dear niece Kathy Harris and nephew Glenn Harris and her beloved dogs Buddy and Bella. 

In addition to her parents Sandy was predeceased by her sister Esther (Allen) Harris and her brother Larry Allen.

Sandy worked for Grand Union in Port Henry for 20+ years. In her free time Sandy was passionate about animals, reading, gardening and interior decorating. She enjoyed spending her days kayaking on Lincoln Pond with her dear friend Adel Allen. She loved spending time with her grandchildren-baking apple pies, fresh rolls, berry picking, four-wheeling, playing mini-golf and watching Christmas movies. Her lasagna and thanksgiving stuffing were second to none. 

Due to covid 19 a private memorial service will be held at Harland’s Funeral Home in Port Henry. Sandy will be laid to rest next to her beloved mother and father at the White Church Cemetery in Crown Point NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to North Country SPCA, Westport NY.
