Robert Fredrick Harris Jr.   1950-2023

Bob Harris, 72, passed away early Wednesday morning June 28, 2023 peacefully at home. Having been diagnosed with lung cancer 8 months ago receiving chemo treatments every week took its toll.

Bob loved his family and close friends dearly. He was an avid hiker becoming a “46er” in 1992 and recorded as #2891, his son Jason and grandson Colin following in his footsteps. He loved working on cars, earning many trophies over the years for his red 78 T-bird. He also enjoyed reading and photography.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard (Rick) and his beloved cat Chance and dog Bailey.

He is survived by his life partner of 32 years Wanda Cox, sons Jason and Breanna Harris and Scott Harris, his ex-wife and friend Joyce, step-daughters Angela and Jerry Mosier, Amanda and Scott Nephew, a sister Linda and Dave Vance and a brother Kerry and Donna Harris, sister-in-law Sheree Harris, six grandchildren, Colin (Bailey), Caleb, Carter, Kailee, Brody and Logan, five step grandchildren, Cody and Sarah Vickroy, Alexandria and Corey Fitzpatrick, Sydney (Dawson) Mosier, Owen and Emmy Nephew and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, his cat Kringle and dog Max.

Donations in his memory may be made to the SPCA, Elizabethtown, NY or the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.

There will be no services per Bob’s request. Family and friends will celebrate his life.
