Obituary

Richard Stockwell, 66, of Port Henry, NY passed away on November 12, 2022 at his home.

Richard was born in Glens Falls, NY on a warm Christmas Day-December 25, 1955. He is the son of Rita Nesbitt and the (late) Ray Nesbitt.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Marcotte) Stockwell and his grandson Kyle Stockwell.

Richard is survived by his son Rich Stockwell of Willsboro, NY, daughter April (Charlie) Holman of Port Henry, NY and stepson Scott Stockwell of Plattsburgh, NY. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Richard is survived by 3 brothers; Larry Stockwell, Randy (Patty) Stockwell, Ronald (Gail) Nesbitt; 6 sisters, Linda (John) Hanchett, Debbie Nesbitt, Sandra (Tim) Leary, Donna (Darryl) Evans, Lisa (Darren) Eckler and Darlene (Steve) VanWinkler. He also has many nieces and nephews.

As a young man Richard joined the US Navy. He was a gifted wood worker and artist and adored his pets. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid card player. Richard was a very giving man which often was to his detriment.

Arrangements are in the care of the Harland Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours at the request of Richard. A private service for the family will be arranged at a later date.
