Richard "Dick" Harry Osher
January 9, 1944 - May 1st, 2020
Crown Point - Richard "Dick" Harry Osher, of Crown Point, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 1st, 2020. He was born in Plattsburgh on January 9th, 1944 to Amos and Lena (Maryea) Osher. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Amos "Sonny" Osher Jr., and his sister Mary Ann Gimmey.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elsie (Spaulding) Osher, his children, Kimberly Corron, Brian Osher, Troy and Alison Simmons; 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Nathen, Erika, Bailey, and Talya; 7 great grandchildren, Destiny, Corryne, Nathaniel, Liam, Phoenix, Finley, and Logan; his siblings, Andy Osher, Theresa Peal, and Thomas Osher and a very large extended family.
Dick loved his family very much and worked hard his entire life to provide for them. He enjoyed being outdoors, crosswords, sleeping and was a collector of many things. Before he moved to Crown Point, he could be found at the counter of several choice coffee shops any morning. Dick seemed to know everybody or at least someone they were related to, even if he didn't remember their name at that exact moment. He loved socializing with people, especially his family.
Due to the pandemic and his wishes, services are private for immediate family.
Arrangements are trusted to Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry, NY, 12974. Online condolences may be made at harlandfuneralhome.com.
