Richard Gordon Malone (10/26/38-8/5/23) passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Port Henry, prior to residing in Crown Point and most recently Ticonderoga.
He was pre-deceased by his mother Laura, his father Gordon and his brother Marty.
Richard entered the Army after high school then attended Plattsburgh State and became a teacher. He taught history for forty years at Crown Point Central. He also taught at North Country Community College and Moriah Shock. He was a dj at WIPS Radio, a volunteer firefighter and served on the town of Crown Point board. He married Ann Tabor and had three
children June Leonard(Gary), Todd Malone(Carla), and Dawn Wojewodzic(Stan). He went on to marry Irene Alexander and had two children Lee Malone(deceased) and Laura Dygert(John).
He had seven grandchildren Ross Malone, Drew Malone, Maria Malone, Meghan Maugeri, Tyler Belden, Daniel Mattison and Hailey Dygert and three great grandchildren Jonathon Malone, Stephen Malone and Evalynn Malone. He was most widely known as Mr. Malone and was passionate about his teaching career and the relationships that he built with his students. He
loved his children and was extremely proud of their successes. As per his wishes, there will be no services.
