Patricia R. (Munson) (Shappy) Cline

On June 17, 2023, we lost our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Partner and friend after a lengthy illness.

Patricia Ruth Munson was born on April 29, 1940 at home in Westport, NY to Harry and Ruth (Moore) Munson. Their oldest daughter and one of fifteen children.

Left to continue her story are her daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Randy Fleming and her son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Joanne Shappy.

Long time partner Harold "Joe" Smith and his family.

Grandchildren: Brittany (Damon)Trybendis, David (Julie Thompson) Fleming, Jack Shappy, Hannah Dunn, Brandon (Malinda) Fleming and Tristan Shappy.

Great Grandchildren: Landon, Rayana, Lydia, Kennedy, Deacon, Jon and Kennedy Jane.

Siblings: Harry (Louise) Munson, Frank (Bette) Munson, Jay (Judith) Munson, Susan (George) Ferguson and Peggy Miller. In-laws:  David Gough and Sally Munson.

Step-daughter and son in law Colleen (Kevin) Denton. Step Grandchildren: Mark (Whitney) Denton, Heather (Owen) Martin, Amy (Brandy) McDonald, Stacy (Matt) Maneri and their families. Many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Edward Douglas Shappy, husband Leonard Edward Shappy, second husband William Cline. Her siblings Kenneth Munson, William Munson, Marian Gough, Dorothy Martin, Helen Raymond, Sumner Munson, Clyde Munson, Kimberly Woodard, Richard Munson and many in-laws.

Although she enjoyed bingo, going to the casino and standardbred horse racing her greatest enjoyment and love was spending time with her family. Anyone who was fortunate enough to know her, knew the door was always open and the coffee was always on. We hope her next journey is one full of happiness, peace and those that went before her are there to welcome her with open arms.

Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Lewis Congregational Church in Lewis, NY.
