Norma P. (Fleming) O'Hara

Norma P. O’Hara (Fleming), 88, of Crown Point, NY passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2024.  She was born on June 18th, 1935 to James and Julia (Jane) Fleming.  Norma was a lifelong resident of Chilson Hill and Ironville.  She retired from International Paper after over forty years of service working in the finishing room.

On February 2nd, 1967 she married Robert L. O’Hara and they began their traveling adventures together.  Many of which their children James and Jennifer were fortunate to share.  Norma enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, traveling, telling stories of growing up in Chilson and watching her pond from her porch.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert, parents James and Julia, siblings Sandra Gunning, Sharon O’Hara, Gerald Fleming, sister-in-law Laura O’Hara, brother in laws Thomas Gunning, Charles O’Hara, granddaughter Andrea Ragle O’Hara and great grandson Andrew Ross. Left to cherish her memory are her children James L. O’Hara, Jennifer (Clay) Rafferty, step-children Robert (Jo) Trudeau, Debbie Gilleo, Michelle (rumored to be her favorite) (Ed) Jordan, Rhonda Entrekin, Maureen O’Hara, John (Mary) O’Hara, brother Grant (Carmen) Fleming, sister in laws Joann (Larry) Drinkwine, Donna Fleming,  a plethora of nieces and nephews, more grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren then you can shake a stick at and her fur baby Pandora.  There are also numerous “adopted” kids that Norma loved dearly. Know she loved you all fiercely.

Per Norma’s request there will be no calling hours other than a graveside service to take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to either the SPCA or to the Sharon O’Hara scholarship program at the Ticonderoga High School.
