Napoleon Marcotte Obituary

Napoleon A. Marcotte, age 80, of Moriah New York passed away Thursday morning , December 18, 2025 in Burlington at UVM. 

He was born November 20, 1945 in Witherbee, New York to Napoleon and Doris Marcotte(Budwick).

Nappy is survived by his two sons Joseph (Kelly), and Gregg (Heather); 1 sister Dori Fiori (Terry), sisters in laws Linda (Gary), Sally (George), Maryanne (Lloyd), Diane (Emmett); one brother in law, Randy (Juanita); grandchildren, Joseph Jr,  Nicholas (Courtney), Dakota (Barbara), Hope (Brandon), Evan (Karinna), Monika, Logan (Audrey), and Paityn; great grandchildren, Jack, Nora, Vanessa, Cayden, and Emela; two great god-daughters, Morgan, and Dakota of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews. 

Nappy was preceded in death by his wife Judy of 61 Years, his parents; His adopted daughter Tina Martin, one brother Robert (Jean), his sisters Linda Anauo (Frank), Maryanne Stockwell (Richard), 

Nappy was in the Port Henry knights of Columbus council since 1966 and also a 4th degree Knight of Ticonderoga.  Nappy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked many years as a roofer and also spent many years as a member in the Moriah and Port Henry Fire departments.  Nappy never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed his fur babies especially his latest Princess. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice in memory of Nappy.

Services will be at St. Patrick's Church of Port Henry on January 10, 2026 at 10:00 am.
