Nancy Louise (Gadway) Lamour

Nancy Louise Lamour, age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at The Elizabethtown Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mooers, NY on November 10, 1950, the daughter of Arthur and Theresa (Nephew) Gadway

Nancy dedicated her life to being a loving, warm and generous wife, mother and grandmother. Nancy loved the time she spent with her family, especially the many weekends spent with her grandson, shopping and watching movies.

She is survived by her children Sara Cooper of Witherbee, NY, Joella Cooper of Witherbee, NY, Heather Heald and her husband Nathan of Crown Point, NY. , Her grandson Benjamin Heald, her sister Linda Valenti and her husband John , her brother Kevin Gadway and his wife Marlene and her sister in law Debbie Gadway.

She was predeceased by her first husband Junior D. Cooper, her husband Robert LaMour, brother Kenneth Gadway, brother in law, Ernest Duross and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

There will be no calling hours per Nancy’s request. A small graveside service will be held later in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s memory to the North Country SPCA in Elizabethtown, NY.
