Michael Goyette

Michael Goyette (Mike), 63, a lifelong resident of Crown Point passed away on June 5th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side.

Mike was truly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Mike loved his family more than anything in this world. Especially his beloved grandchildren. He loved the outdoors but his biggest passions in life were hunting (especially in Minerva with his family and friends) and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He also loved spending time at car shows with his 1978 Camero. Mike took much pride in all he did and never took short cuts, even still splitting his firewood by hand. The proof of this was always shown in his work.

Mike was employed by Pat Armstrong Inc. in Ticonderoga where he loved all of his co-workers and Boss Joe and Alicia Vilardo. He loved his job and the work he did along with all the wonderful people he met over the years, many of whom became not just acquaintances but friends. There was nothing Mike wouldn’t do to help anyone who needed it. He had a heart of gold that has now turned to wings of gold. He always said he got his beautiful soul and heart from being raised right by his amazing father Harry Goyette.

Mike was pre-deceased by his father, Harry Goyette, his brother David Goyette, his grandsons, Hunter Scott, Brandon Michael and Nicholas Conner.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his mother, Betty Goyette (French), his long time girlfriend, Jody Hines, his daughter, Hilary Goyette, daughter and son-in-law, Chassidy and Andrew Baker, sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Mark Hinds, brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Sherry Goyette, his grandson David Austin, granddaughter Marissa Karson, his beloved pet cats, Smokey and Harley and his amazing friends who stayed by his side until the very end, Ryan Waite, Mike Bennett, Bruce Geraw Jr, and Joe Vilardo.

A very special thank you to all the staff that helped Mike through the last year at Plattsburgh Hospital, Burlington Hospital, Schroon Lake Health Center and most of all a very big thank you to his doctor Aimee Clinton for being the most wonderful, kind, caring, compassionate doctor we have ever had the privilege of having as a provider. Thank you to all who called, visited or helped Mike in any way through his journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mike’s house, 358 Pearl Street in Crown Point on Sunday, June 21st at 2:00 pm. Food will be served and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
