Melvin R. Bombard,72, died unexpectedly November 7, 2021 at his home in Mineville, NY.
Melvin was born in Bloomingdale, NY on October 9, 1949, to the late Walter Bombard and Lola (Coondradt) Bombard. Melvin served two tours in Vietnam in the Marine Corp. He was a longtime employee at Pikes Construction.
Melvin will be remembered for being very blunt and straight forward. Family was the most important thing to him. Melvin had a big heart, but may not have showed it. He enjoyed watching black and white Westerns and war movies. Melvin lived a simple, quiet life.
Melvin is survived by three daughters, Joelle Nesbitt, Jamie Bombard and partner Frank Burnham, Jessica Grant and husband Nick Grant; two sons Jason Bombard and partner Chawntelle Bezon and John Bombard and partner Brooke Sheffer. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Allanah and Edward Nesbitt, Savannah and Cody Crammond, Jaden, Makennia, Karter, Connor Bombard, Hayden, Jaelyn, Grayson Bombard and Wyatt and Aurora Grant; and one great grandchild, Elena Marie; also survived by one sister Gail Bombard and two brothers, Bruce Bombard and Larry Bombard.
A graveside service will be held November 29, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Essex County Veteran’s Cemetery in Wadhams, NY.
