Martin T. Mischenko, 71, of 59 Harmony Rd. went to his eternal home to the Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY. He was born May 11, 1954 in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late John S. Mischenko (Chief) and the late Mary Evelyn (Varmette) Mischenko, husband of Deborah (Gregory) Mischenko…
Martin Mischenko “Marty” as better well-known, was a lifelong resident of the Mineville area. He was a Veteran in the US Army serving in the 368 Engineering Corp and the 101st airborne division Air Assault. He was very active in civic and patriotic groups. He was a Pastor of Mountain Meadows Christian Center and Lake Champlain Bible Fellowship as well as a Chaplain in Fire Fighters for Christ.
He is survived by his wife Deborah (Gregory) Mischenko of Mineville, NY, a brother Thomas Mischenko of Schroon Lake, NY, a son John S. Mischenko of Queensbury, NY, a stepson Matthew (French) Mischenko of Glens Falls, NY, a daughter Amanda (Mischenko) Boivain of Glens Falls, NY, a stepdaughter Susan (Mischenko) Ramirez of Glens Falls, NY, a stepdaughter Jeni (Mischenko) Gonyea of Glens Falls, NY, a stepdaughter Melinda (Gregory/Gardner) Gay of California, a stepdaughter Jessica (Gregory) Kipp of Vermont and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Shauna M. Gregory (Sharon Locklin/Douglas) of Missouri.
He will be buried at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
