Mark J. Scozzafava

Mark Joseph Scozzafava, age 69 passed away on July 22, 2022, at his home.

Mark was born on December 21, 1952 in Ticonderoga NY, the second son of Frank & June Scozzafava.

Following his graduation from Moriah Central, Mark attended North Country Community College.

After leaving college Mark hit the road and did some traveling in the southern states where he also worked for a couple years. 

When he returned to Port Henry he worked for New York State DEC on the trails crew, and then for the Town of Moriah at Bulwagga Bay Campsite until his retirement.

Mark was a avid baseball fan, and quite the pitcher in his younger days!

He also was a well know harmonica player, and loved jamming with his friends and joined in on many recording sessions in his youth.

Mark loved visiting with everyone he ran into, and always remembered their name, even if he hadn't seen them in many years!

Mark will be missed by many within the Village of Port Henry, especially Stewarts!

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his Brother Frank and his Niece Michelle. 

He is survived by his sister Margaret  Pilger, his Brothers Joe and Tom (Mary Lou) Scozzafava and many nieces and nephews. Also his second family the Celotti's and his lifelong best friend, Jim Celotti.

Donations in his memory can be made to Saint Patrick's Church, Port Henry NY.

At his request there will be no calling hours, and funeral arrangements will be at a later date.
