The family of Margery Garcia announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother on November 16, 2021.

Margery leaves behind Lynn and Bill MacDonough (daughter and son in law), Kevin Garcia (son): 6 grandchildren-Billy MacDonough, Lori Benway and husband Earl, Rebecca Haessig and husband Keith, Ryan MacDonough and wife Amy, Meghan MacDonough, and Gus Garcia; 6 great grandchildren, TY Haessig,, Keira Haessig, Olivia MacDonough, Madelyn MacDonough, Zachary MacDonough and Keagan Benway. All who came to say their good byes to “G G”.

Margery was born and raised in Westport, NY and worked for 31 years in the Westport Post office. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Florence Merrow, her identical twin sister Margaret, brothers George, Bob and Meko and sisters Ellen LaMountain and Babe Donaldson. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh E. Tyler, who died at 32 years of age.

Years later she married Thomas Garcia and had a son, Kevin. Tom was deceased last January.

There will be a service on Saturday, November 20 at the Harland Funeral home in Port Henry, NY.  Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Harland’s and church service at 11:00 AM at the Wesport Federated Church (stone church), followed by burial at the Hillside Cemetery in Westport.

Memorial donations in Margery’s name may be made to the McLure Miller Respite House, 3113 Roosevelt Highway, Colchester, Vt, 05446 or your local Humane Society.
