Margaret (Louise) Sprague 1926-2021

Louise Sprague, 95, of Moriah passed away Sept. 3, 2021 at her home.

She was born August 1, 1926 in Crown Point to William (Willie) Whitford and Mary Ellen (Cannon) Whitford.

She married Paul (Barney) Sprague in 1945, becoming a wife and homemaker for 58 plus years of marriage and raised four sons. Family was always first for her.

She loved feeding the birds and all the little animals around the house, chipmunks were her favorite and she always looked forward to the hummingbirds return in the spring.

She had a green thumb for growing vegetables, trees and her flowers. A big flower garden was full of colors in late summer.

She was predeceased by her parents, four sisters, Olive, Lena, Helen and Hazel; two brothers, DeForrest (Sonny) and Erwin, her husband Barney and son Tracy.

She is survived by three sons, Timothy (Cathy) of Port Henry, Randall (Elizabeth) of Wantage, New Jersey and Howard of Moriah; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her special cousin Addie Jane Patterson.

There will be no services at Louise’s request. Burial will be in Crown Point Sacred Heart Cemetery. Donations may be made to your favorite charity. She will be greatly missed.
