Lonne James Bobbie
Lonne James Bobbie of Port Henry, NY was taken into the arms of our Lord on May 4, 2023, at his home. Lonne was born on November 8, 1956, in Ticonderoga, NY, the youngest of seven children to the late Robert Bobbie Sr. and Joan (Crabtree) Bobbie.
Lonne is survived by his siblings Sandra (Warren) Pattison, Gerald (Lucie) Bobbie, Sharon O’Connor (John Santose) and Robert Jr. (Theresa) Bobbie, numerous nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, many aunts and uncles and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Sheila Bobbie Simard and his brother Francis Bobbie.
After graduating from Moriah Central School in 1975, he was employed by the ARC and at Essex Industries in Mineville where Steve Allen mentored, coached and was a true friend to Lonne. And very special acknowledgements to Jen Fleury, Betsy Johnson and the Staff at Mountain Lakes Services and Essex Industries and to Danielle Rohr, his County Nurse, for all the care and love they gave to Lonne throughout many years.
Lonne was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Lonne was an avid Bingo player where he could be found on Monday nights at the Knights of Columbus. Besides Bingo, some of Lonne’s other enjoyments included bowling, eating out and “Scratch Off” tickets.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus in Port Henry, NY. Calling hours for Lonne will be at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry on Sunday, May 7th from 5-7pm. A Christian Mass to celebrate Lonne’s life will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Port Henry on Monday, May 8th at 12:30pm with burial at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Moriah. A gathering of Lonne’s family and friends will be held at the Knights of Columbus after the burial.
