Lillian (Sissy) Brace Gregory passed peacefully with family by her side on June 23, 2020 at Elizabethtown Community Hospital. She was born on April 2, 1935 in Swanton, Vermont to Arthur and Madeline (Lagoy) Brace. She enjoyed lending a helping hand and welcoming others into her home with open arms and connecting with old friends and family on Facebook. She, above all else, loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by, her husband Delbert, her sons David, Curt, Robin, Lee ,grandson Curtis Jr , her daughter-in-law Penny and the love of her life Jimmy Drake Sr. her parents, her four brothers, Brownie, Blackie, Red and Whitie, along with her sister Tete
She is survived by her children, Debbie (Victor) Mandy, Meg (Richard) Sheffer, Mark (Karen Figary) Gregory, Renee (Scott) DuRoss, Cheryl DuRoss along with her cherished daughter-in-law Tammy Gregory, her grandchildren Nicole (Rhett), Michelle, Jennifer (Adam), Richard Jr. (Tiffany), Brenda (Justin), Jessica, Brooke (John), Emilee (Dylan), Andrew (Chelsey), Erica, Dayna (Zack), Nicholas, Brenden, Colton, Buddy (Danielle), Amy (Ed ), her great-grandchildren Trent, Emily, Haileigh, Keagen, Jakob, Jaicob, Peyton, Jacey, Harper, Autumn, Jaelyn, Paisley, Edward, Grayson, Maxwell, Leighton, Kenzie, Anthony, Joshua and Becka, her beloved brother-in-law Robert Scharpf and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Moriah Ambulance Squad.
We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff from Elizabethtown Community Hospital for their compassionate care for our mother and special thank you to Vicki Smith for the care and support you have given our family.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic calling hours will be private. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Moriah, NY.
