Kimberley Loring Decker,62, of Mineville, NY passed away on May 17, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born in Saranac Lake, NY on November 21, 1959 to the late Richard Hough and Theressa (Senkbeil) Hough.
Kim married David Decker on June 13, 1998.Kim graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1977. She had various jobs throughout her life, but she most enjoyed the ones that found her in front of a stove cooking.
Kim had many hobbies that brought her great joy, including photography, gardening, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels and looking up at the moon. But Kim’s greatest joy in her life was spending time with her grandchildren.
Kim is survived by her husband Dave Decker; her sons, Benjamin (Toni) Winters and William (Jessica) Winters of Moriah; her stepchildren, Brian (Dawn) Decker of Los Angeles, Sean (Liz) Decker of Alexandria, VA, and Leanne (Jason) Morris of Ilion, NY; her grandchildren, Joshua, Mason, Nicholas, Kaylee, Collin, Benji, Jackson, Lucas, Tristan and Marshall; her brothers and sisters, Darrell Hough, Lisa (Tom) Yakalis, Vicky Hough, Glenna (Joe) Whittemore, Thomas Hough and Richard (Nina) Hough; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. And last but not least her beloved dog Emmett.
Calling hours will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry, NY. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Moriah Presbyterian Church in Port Henry with a burial to follow at the South Moriah Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the Moriah Fire Department. Donations can be made to your local SPCA.
