Kathleen Marie (Slattery) Cheney

Kathleen Marie (Slattery) Cheney, 55, of Mineville, NY passed away on Friday, June 21st at home surrounded by her family. Kate was called to heaven after a courageous, hard fought battle with cancer.

She was born May 28, 1969, the daughter of Tom and Linda Slattery.

Kate was known by all who knew her for her caring nature and compassion, her values, sometimes brutal honesty and above all else her love for her family, especially her soulmate of 38 years, Fay. Her smile and laughter will live on in our hearts forever.

Kate was predeceased by her father, Rollin T. Slattery Jr.

She is survived by her mother Linda Slattery, her husband Fay Cheney, her children Kasey and Ashley Cheney, daughter Myranda and Travis Gellen, her sister Mikki and Rick Marshall, her brothers Rollin III and Robin, Brian and Tina, Chris and Carrie Slattery and many, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Moriah.
