Joyce Rogers
February 18, 1932 - June 3,2025
Joyce M Rogers entered into eternal life in the early morning hours of June 3, 2025. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family.
She was born in Ironville the daughter of Beatrice (Dunlap) and Lester Bemis. Joyce graduated from Crown Point School in 1951 and married the love of her life Edward Rogers on October 7, 1951 in the Methodist Church in Crown Point. They made their home in Witherbee and had five daughters.
She was a past member of Subordant Pomona and State Grange and also held the past post of Lecturer and Subordant Grange. Joyce loved collecting Knick knacks especially novelty salt and pepper shakers and Angels. Those who knew her know how she loved collecting magnets as well. She also enjoyed her time at Physical Therapy in Elizabethtown and made many lifelong friendships.
Surviving Joyce are her daughters: Jeanne (Charles) Farnsworth, Barbara Bezon, Ginger (Claude) Poissant, Kathy (Mike) Decker and Laurie Kimball. Eleven grandchildren: Scott (Pam) Farnsworth, Angel (Junior) Mitchell, Charles Farnsworth, Edward (Holly) Armstrong, Joy (Jeremy) Armstrong. Samantha Poissant, Claude (Tiffany) Poissant, Donna (Dan) Harris, Eddie (Emilie) Decker, Megan Trombley and Shelby (Mark) Kimball. Nineteen grandchildren: Calvin, Emily, Dorian, Spencer, Kendrya, Caleb, Gavin, Elijah, Hannah, Heaven, Bryan, Lily, Ben, Sierra, Trevor, Madison, Harper, Adelyn and Ava. Three sisters: Rita Nesbitt, Norma Russell and Gail Tuthill and two brothers Henry (Yvonne) DuShane and Raymond DuShane. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Edward Rogers Sept. 16, 1973, her parents, her step father George DuShane, granddaughter Emily Kimball, Sons in law Jim Kimball and Frank Bezon and great grandson Dylan Edwards.
Calling hours will be Sunday June 8 from 3-5 at Harland Funeral home with a reception following. Funeral services will be private.
