Joyce M. (Burhart) Raymond

Joyce (Burhart) Raymond 87, of Witherbee, NY went to be with her beloved family on January 14th, 2022.  Joyce was born to Emma and Louis Burhart on April 23, 1934.  After graduating from Mineville High School in 1952, Joyce met and married the love of her life, Ernest (Toby) Raymond on July 2nd, 1955.  Together, the two welcomed and raised their son, Guy Raymond.



Joyce worked for International Paper for many years before retiring and enjoying her many hobbies that included cooking, reading Danielle Steele novels, raising her "grandogger" Charcoal, sharing endless laughs and advice with her niece, Kathy Rogers and having a vodka tonic with her sister and best friend, Gloria Pratt.  Having no grandchildren of her own, Joyce considered and treated her sister Gloria's grandchildren and great grandchildren like her own, offering them much love and support over the years. 



Joyce is predeceased by her parents, Emma and Louis, her brother, Arthur, sister and brother in-law Gloria & Bob Pratt, and her beloved husband, Toby.



Joyce is survived by her loving son, Guy Raymond and friend Tina Trapasso, sister-in-law Anne Raymond; and many nieces, nephews, and their children.



Being that Joyce was the last of her siblings on Earth, the family takes great comfort in knowing that the Burhart family is once again whole.



Joyce's family would like to thank Elderwood Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided her in her final years.
