Josephine (O’Kusky) Yelle died April 19, 2021at her home.

She was born June 27, 1931 in Witherbee, NY, the daughter of Constant and Theodora O’Kusky. Her husband Rufus Yelle died Nov. 21, 1992.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Gary ) Slattery of Queensbury, NY; two sons David Yelle of Witherbee and Randy Yelle of Keeseville, NY; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two brothers, Constant O’Kusky of Lewis and Carl (Joyce) O’Kusky of Witherbee; and her companion Robert Ledger.

She is predeceased by one brother Henry O’Kusky of Craddockville, Virginia; six sisters, Irene Matazinsky of Mineville, Helen Hebert of Plattsburgh, Anna Lopez of Keeseville, Sophie Colburn of Witherbee, Regina Varno of Mineville and Jennie Fields of Witherbee.

At her request there were no calling hours. A funeral Mass was held at St. Patrick’s Church on April 23, 2021.

Donations in memory of Josephine may be made to the Town of Moriah Ambulance Squad or the Mineville-Witherbee Fire Dept.
