Josephine Neaves passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas VA. She was born in NYC, NY on October 23, 1927 and was raised in Port Henry, NY.
She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Frances Velez and her sister, Lillian Pratt. Josephine and Robert Neaves married in 1949 and lived in Moriah until 2016 when they moved to Virginia near their daughter, Robin Carpenter and her husband, John.
Josephine is survived by her husband, Robert(Bob)Neaves where he is surrounded by the love and support of Robin, her husband, John, granddaughter, Tara, great granddaughter, Charlee, grandson, Zack, and wife Anne.
Josie, as she was lovingly called, is also survived by daughter Kathy Cox, her husband, Steve, granddaughter, Christina, great grandson, Isaiah, grandson Michael, wife Becka and great grandsons, Jacob, and Robert.
She is also survived by her niece, Deborah Pratt, dear family members, and friends back in the Moriah area.
Josie worked for many years in the cafeteria at Moriah School, and always spoke of how she enjoyed seeing all the students who went through her line.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Our family wants to thank the staff at Paramount Assisted Living and the staff at Prince William Hospital for the kind and excellent care she received.
We would also like to thank our friends, the Gregorys of Port Henry for all their love and support throughout the years.
