John Harvish served in World War II as an infantryman in the United States Army in Europe.  A skilled carpenter, he was a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.  After retirement, he went on to enjoy leisure time with Helen and pursued his love of hunting, fishing, gardening, and grandchildren.  One of his proudest moments was participating in the North Country Honor Flight to Washington, DC to tour the war memorials and to be honored with his fellow veterans.
