Jody Don Harrington

Jody Don Harrington, 44 years old, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 4th, 2023. 

            Jody was born on January 7th, 1979 in Fayetteville NC to Jack and Joni Harrington and was lovingly referred to as “Budger”. He grew up in Crown Point, NY and had been residing in Port Henry, NY. He graduated from Crown Point Central School. While at Crown Point Jody was an outstanding athlete who excelled at baseball. He was referred to by his coach as “Iron Man Harrington” because of his pitching prowess. Jody was known for his fast ball on the mound and swinging for the fence while at bat. Jody was also very creative and had a knack for drawing. When Jody wasn’t at home you could find him causing some kind of mischief with his second family, The Peters’ Boys. He was well known for his unique, one of a kind laugh and prankster personality. 

            Jody was an avid fisherman. He loved to fish year round and never came home without a catch. Jody loved camping and being outdoors. His competitive nature wasn’t only on the ball fields, but also made him hard to beat at the pool table. Jody also was a carpenter and learned his trade from Eric and Eric Construction Company. He continued to use these skills and his beautiful work can be found in many homes. 

            Jody was survived by his children Devyn Harrington, Emma and Keagan Harrington; his parents Jack and Joni (Lasell) Harrington, Jesse (Brandy) Harrington, Jacalyn (Lillian Gray) Harrington; Logan and Cameron Harrington; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

            Jody was predeceased by his grandparents Clifford and Shirley Lasell; and Jack and Jean Harrington. 

            Calling hours will be held at Harland’s Funeral Home on Friday November 10th from 5-7pm.
