Joan K. (Slattery) Rotella

Joan K. Rotella passed away on October 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Westport, NY the daughter of Thomas and Laura (Vanderhoof) Slattery.

Joan was a woman of tremendous faith and a long devoted Catholic. She was a member of the Catholic Community, Alter Rosary Society and the Scarlette O’Hatter. She loved to cook and bake for her seven children and families. Joan always found much joy and happiness at all the family dinners and gatherings.

Joan married Joseph Rotella who preceded her in death on July 13, 1992. She is survived by her children, JoAnn and Thomas Wood, Joseph and Deanna Rotella, Frank and Patty Rotella, David and Ginny Rotella, Diane and Martin Casey, Nancy and Tom Kobylaski, Rory and Jeanette Rotella, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. Also survived by sister in laws Isabel Rotella, Irene Rotella, and brother in law George and Genevieve Rotella and all her Slattery and Rotella nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be at the Church of All Saints, Mineville, NY at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 8th. Burial will follow at the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
