Joan (Wright) Hunsdon

Joan Hunsdon (Wright), born on October 9th 1939, of Crown Point New York, passed away peacefully on September 9th 2025. She was 85 years old.

Joan was the beloved wife of William Hunsdon and a devoted mother to her daughter Leila Burris, and a son James Hunsdon. She was also a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren. Joan's brother Steve Wright survives her as well. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Elva Wright, and her daughter Laurie Ells. 

Joan's sharp mind and quick wit were hallmarks of her personality - qualities that endeared her to those around her and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Joan had a passion for supporting the community through volunteer work. She gave generously of her time and energy. Her interest in researching local histories reflected both on her intellectual curiosity and deep appreciation for the stories that shaped the place she called home.

Her legacy lives on, not only through the generations of her family who carry forward her memory but also through the many lives she touched with kindness, humor, and dedication. 

May Joan's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held on October 5th, 2025, from 1: 00 p. M. To 4: 00 p. M. At the Penfield Pavilion in Crown Point New York.
