Joan L. Bobbie,92, entered the arms of the Lord on April 9, 2022, at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital surrounded by her family. Joan was born on August 27, 1929, the oldest of five children, in Holyoke, Mass. to the late Maude (Williams) Crabtree and the late Albert Crabtree Sr.

Joan married the late Robert Bobbie Sr. on September 28, 1946. She is survived by her children Sandra (Warren Jr) Pattison, Gerald (Lucie) Bobbie, Sharon O’Connor (John Santose), Robert (Theresa) Bobbie Jr, Lonne Bobbie, numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several great, great grandchildren, a sister, Maude “Jackie” Martel, brother-in-law Kenny Bobbie, sister-in-law Catherine Baglyos, brother-in-law Gilbert (Gloria) Bobbie Jr, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Bobbie Sr, daughter Sheila Simard, son Francis Bobbie, brother Albert Crabtree Jr, sisters Ruth Crabtree and Susan Granda, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many dear friends.

Joan retired from Simmonds Precision Company in Vergennes, VT. after 32 years of service and was one of our Avon Reps for close to 50 years. Over her many years Joan enjoyed many pleasures but the most important is time spent with her family. Anyone having the opportunity to know this feisty little lady knew that her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren were the joy of her life who she loved and cherished and there was not enough time in the day for her to do everything she wanted to do with them. She also looked forward to her excursions, including traveling to Cape Cod, vacationing in Maine and going camping. Of course, she enjoyed being around people and over the years she belonged to several bowling leagues, golfing leagues, played Bingo (whenever the opportunity arose), her little casino trips, and was a member of the Mineville VFW Auxiliary and the Mineville-Witherbee Fire Department Auxiliary. She also enjoyed many hobbies including crocheting, crafting, cooking, baking and reading. She truly tried to live life to the fullest.
