Jo Ann (Gravelle) Moyer

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of one of God’s faithful on April 20th, 2025. Jo Ann Moyer left this life after a short illness while at home surrounded by family. Born Jo Ann Gravelle in Moriah, NY to Gilbert Gravelle and Jean Gravelle, (Cutting), January 15th, 1940, she lived in the area until 1975 when she made her way across country to eventually settle in San Bernardino, CA. There she retired from two different careers, one with the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Loma Linda, (where she met her husband, Jonathan Moyer,) as well as with the San Bernardino County Probation Department. Her passions included reading, having her swimming pool full of grandkids, and caring for animals, both domestic and wild. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, John and James Gravelle, as well as two sons, Edward and Perry Hanson. She is survived by two sisters, Jean Breed and Janice Maas, as well as five children; James Hanson, Deborah Stager, Jo Ann Parent, Robin Hanson, and Elizabeth Hardison. She was also blessed with a multitude of grandchildren, nieces and nephews including Kellie Hanson, whom she had raised. We are forever grateful for having been a part of her life. She will be greatly missed.
