Jeanette Riedlinger Whitford of Crown Point, NY passed away on November 5th, 2023 at her home with her family by her side, after a long, courageous 7 year battle with cancer.

She was born on September 3, 1950, the daughter of the late Arlene (Forgette) Riedlinger and Noble Green.

She was a lifetime resident of Crown Point and went to Crown Point Central School. She enjoyed cooking, camping, crafts, trips to Maine and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years Elmer Whitford; her sister Mary Blanchard of Ticonderoga, NY; her favorite brother-in-law Dan Whitford of Crown Point, NY; her daughter Lisa Norton (Bobby) of Ticonderoga, NY; her sons, Ed Hargett (Sandy) of St. Regis Falls, NY, Shawn Whitford (Debbie) of Crown Point, NY and Derrick Whitford (Evie) of Crown Point, NY. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her pride and joy, her dog Oscar and cat Lucky.

She is predeceased by her parents and her son Tony Hargett.

There will be no calling hours per Jeanette’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
