Jean Marie Kelly, age 76, passed away at her home on Friday, May 19, 2023 after a brief illness.
Jean was born on October 17, 1946 to James and Mary (Matraw) Kimball.
She married her lifelong partner, Francis H. Kelly on July 30, 1966 (56 years)
Jean worked many years at Gunnison’s Apple Orchard. She also cleaned several homes around the Town of Moriah.
Jean loved playing board games, especially Scrabble with her sister Ann and cards. She enjoyed visiting with people in the community and adored her children and grandchildren. She always had a kind and positive word for everyone. Her “heart of gold” will be truly missed.
Jean is survived by her husband, Francis, her sons and Daughter in-laws, Francis (Tammy) Kelly Magnolia, Delaware, Michael Kelly, Lakewood, Washington, Steven (Cecilia)Kelly, Denver, Colorado, her sister, Ann (William) Boucher, Mineville, NY and Sister-in-law, Laurie Kimball, Lewis, NY.
Her Grandchildren, Ashley (Christopher) Olcott, Cody (Evgeniya) Olcott, Kayla (Bruce) Parker, Austin (Britney) Kelly, Madison Tullo, and Brianna (Joanna) Lovegrove.
Her great grandchildren, Carley Yeager, Cody, Noah, Sophia Parker, (Owen Parker expected 7/2023), Chloe Kelly, Hayden and Jane Tullo, and Emerson Lovegrove.
Jean is predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Kimball, her in-laws, Edward and Mary (Tromblee) Kelly, and her brother, James “Slim” Kimball.
She had the love and help from a special family friend, (daughter she never had), Melissa Larrow. The family will be forever thankful!
There will be no visiting hours.
Church service will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Port Henry on Wednesday, May 31st at 12:00 pm. Burial immediately following Church service at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Moriah.
