Jami J. Smith

Jami Jo Smith passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 62. He was born on July 17, 1963, in Ticonderoga, New York, to Murray and Carol Smith. 

Jami will be remembered for his remarkable ability to build and fix anything, his quick sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family. His greatest source of pride was the life he built with his wife, Bonnie. Together they shared 43 amazing years as best friends, raising three beautiful children and helping to raise four cherished grandbabies. 

Jami is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his mother, Carol; his children, Brendan (Megan), Nicole (Steven), and Jesse; his grandchildren, Brendan, Gabriella, Marrianna, and Maddox; his siblings, Randy, Ricky, and Jody; and his niece, Heather, and her family, who held a special place in his heart.

A funeral service will be held on February 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Moriah United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus in Port Henry.
