A TIME TO BE BORN
James Donald Walton was born on Thursday, January 31
1952, in Ticonderoga, New York. James was the son of the late Allen and Zymora Louise Walton. James peacefully departed this life on February 11, 2022, in Oak Park, Illinois.
James was proceeded in death by his sister Carola Walton, brother David Walton and first wife, Edythe Robinson Walton.


A TIME TO LIVE
Jim grew up in Port Henry, New York, and attended Moriah Central High School and Brighton Academy. His love for sports took shape on high school football fields, where his perseverance for winning earned him a scholarship to the University of Vermont, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Education. Jim's, innate ability to engage all types of people from all walks of life made him a natural talent for his lifelong career in sales, business and a mentor for many.
Jim began his career at Xerox, eventually transitioning to
Abbott Laboratories, where he broke barriers and paved the way for others. He left an impressive twenty-four-year tenure, ending as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Jim, continued in his role as Vice President at Thermo Fisher and Corporate Express. In 2007, Jim, ventured out on his own and became the Founder, President, and Managing Partner of Global Recruiters of Oak Park.

 

A TIME TO LOVE
Jim was a man who knew how to give love and receive love.
He loved his family and friends and will be truly missed by
many. He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted friend and wife of 41 years (Nadine), three sons: (Darius J. Walton,Tahib J. Walton, and Julian A. Brown), and one daughter,(Salihah D. Johns), one granddaughter (Mia A. Perry), one loving and devoted sister (Olivia Walton), one big brother and everlasting friend (Allen W. Walton), and three sisters-in-law, (Evelyn Walton, Alfreda Myers, Tondalear J. Fleming), and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friend
