Jim Saunders, age 58, of Port Henry, NY passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in his home. Jim had a long bout with diabetes and the complications as a result of it. Jim was an avid Oakland Raiders and Boston Red Sox fan. He had a great sense of humor despite everything he was going through.

He was predeceased by his parents, dad Harry G. Saunders and mom Mary Ann Saunders (Salerno) and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his brothers, John Saunders and Jeff Saunders both of Port Henry, NY and a nephew John Saunders Jr. and his wife Deanna and their children Madisyn and Emersyn of Newburgh, NY and many other relatives.

His brothers would like to thank all of the Port Henry Fire Dept. personnel and EMT’s who tried to revive Jim that morning. They would also like to thank the nurses at the Dialysis Center in Elizabethtown who took great care of Jim 3 days a week. Also a special thank you to all their friends and relatives for their sympathy and support and to Kevin Sprague who played an integral part in getting Jim to those dialysis sessions and for being a great friend to him.
