James R. Connors

James R. Connors, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at Elderwood Nursing Home, in Ticonderoga, New York on May 28, 2022.
James was born March 13, 1934 The son of James and Cora Connors. James was a graduate from Willsboro Central School in 1952. Soon after graduation, James joined the U.S. Airforce and served four years. He worked as an aircraft electric repairman and he received a national defense service medal.
James married the love of his life of 63 years, Patricia, in 1959. He worked for Georgia Pacific and moved his family to Crown Point in 1965, where he got a job at International Paper and worked in the finishing room for over thirty years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and he retired from I.P. In 1996.
After retirement they spent winters in Florida to spend time with family. He was an avid hunter and was a huge New York Yankee fan. He enjoyed making crafts with his beloved wife Patricia, as well as, working in his garden. He loved spending time watching his grandchildren plays sports and looked forward to visits with his great grandchildren and sharing his love of yodeling.
James was predeceased by his father James, and his mother Cora, as well as, his brothers Arthur, John (Tippy), and sisters Regina Williams, Dorothy Demar, Vera Patnode, and Evelyn Lanzo. He is also survived by his sisters Catherine Corbo, Beverly Baker, and his brother Gerald Linney.
James leaves behind his wife, Patricia, his four children, Roderick (Gary Shelley), Penny Watrous (Arthur), Holly LaTour (Gerald), and Tracy Bush (Shawn), and also his nephew Elton Sayward whom he raised through his high school years and his family, as well as, his 8 loving grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, at 11:00 at Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point, New York. A reception will follow at the family home at 795 Creek Rd., Crown Point, N.Y.
