George Thomas Savage Jr. Of Ticonderoga NY. passed on March 6th, 2026. He was born September 30th,1950 in Ticonderoga New York. He was a proud military veteran who served during Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart.
He married Donna Mae Simpson of Mineville, NY.They spent their working careers in Schenectady, NY. where he worked for General Electric and the New York State school system while also raising 2 sons George Thomas Savage III and Scott Michael Savage. He retired to Ticonderoga NY where he was able to enjoy many great and beautiful years doing the things he loved.
He loved family, friends, and his community, he was always helping others. He was most happy when he was outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and puttering around.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his wife Donna, 2 sons George & Scott, grandsons Scott Michael Savage Jr. & Tyler Savage, Grand Daughters Miya and Maleena Savage, Great Grand Children Addison, Mason, Noah and nephew Rick Savage along with many other nieces and nephews. Plus very close family friends Steve, Paul, Phil and Dale.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, at 10:00 am in the Union Cemetery in Port Henry.
