Elsie Ann (Spaulding) Osher

September 9, 1948— July 11, 2024

Elsie Ann Spaulding Osher, 75, of Crown Point, NY, presently resided at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid, died peacefully after a short illness on July 11, 2024. Elsie was born in the Moses Ludington Hospital, Ticonderoga, NY, on September 9, 1948, to Dorres and Pearl (Pulcipher) Spaulding of Crown Point. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Richard (Dick) Osher, on May 1, 2020, and by her parents, and siblings, Lillian, Warren and Walton, all of Crown Point.  Elsie is survived by her children, Kimberly Corron (John Montroy), Brian Osher, and Alison (Troy) Simmons; five grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Erika, Bailey and Talya.; Nine great grandchildren, Destiny, Corryne, Nathaniel, Liam, Phoenix, Finley, Logan, Averi and Elena; her sisters, Sr Leila Spaulding, Lucille Mason and many nieces and nephews.  Elsie lived many years with her family in Plattsburgh, NY before moving home to the family farmhouse in Crown Point in 1999. She worked for Mountain Lakes Services (previously known as Essex County ARC) for eleven years.  She was an artistic person, making beautiful quilts, but her most passionate talent is seen all over the North Country in oil paintings on canvas and on slate.  Elsie & Dick went to many craft fairs over the years, before a decline in health prevented them from traveling around.  Special thanks to all the staff at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid.  A very special thank you to Father Paul Kelly, Chaplain, Joletta, Nurse Manager, Kyle Hayes, care staff; to her niece Sarah Hutchins, cousins, Stella Dwyer, Jim Leavens, very dear friends Sarah Ryan and Bernadine Gunning, as well as the friends she made at Uihlein.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Harland's Funeral Home in Port Henry, NY.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Main Street, Crown Point, on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
