Edward L. Tyrrell

Edward Lemuel Tyrrell, age 78, of Crown Point passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Edward was born in Ticonderoga, NY on August 02, 1946, to Miner S Tyrrell and PhoboeMae (Campbell) Tyrrell who both predeceased him. Edward was also predeceased by his wife Sharon (Speirs) Tyrrell, and two brothers-in-laws; Arthur A Speirs (Dolores Speirs), and Gregory A Speirs. His Uncle Donald Tyrrell and Aunt Rosemond J Tyrrell.

Edward lived in Crown Point, NY his whole life. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy, to which he was a very proud veteran. He served during the Vietnam War. When came home he started working at International Paper. He worked there for over 40 years in the finishing room.

Edward had a vast variety of hobbies and things that he enjoyed. He was an avid outdoorsman and was always doing something around the yard. He had a gift for leather work- especially his famous suspenders that he wore daily. He never missed an episode of WWE wrestling every week, as well as any soccer game during the summer-and while Ed would never admit it, he loved Hallmark Christmas movies- even during the summer. Another hobby Ed had was grilling and smoking. He had an amazing ninch for it and enjoyed sharing it with anyone he could.

Edward is survived by his amazing children; Christopher (Rachel), Jonathan, and Allana (Nicole); and 5 wonderful grandchildren; Jacob, Benjamin, Dagania, AraBella, and Gabriel. His brother-in-law Richard Speirs, nieces, and nephew. He also leaves behind his cousin Pam Petty and special friends Bob and Deanna Sears. 

Edward will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 29th at 11:00 am at the White Church Cemetery in Crown Point, NY.
